SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL FOOD DISTRIBUTION SATURDAY, JULY 20, 2024 NATIVITY PARISH HALL 11 AM TO 1 PM

MEN’S PROGRAM: IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO JOIN. Arthur Martinez is hosting a men’s group discussion named “Into the Breach.” This is a 12-week program that was created by the Knights of Columbus to help men embrace the role that God created them for. This group will meet Thursday nights at 6 pm in the Pastoral Center. If you are interested in attending, please contact Art Martinez directly at ajmartinez@1791.comor contact the Parish Office to register. Please invite all of your male friends to attend!

FIESTA NEWS: Our Fiesta will be September 8th this year, from 10 am to 4 pm! We are now accepting donations for the Thrift Store, Treasure Store (donations should be $50 or more in value), gift baskets, and stuff animals for the children’s games. Now is the time to clean out your home and bring any items you no longer want that become someone else’s treasure. Arts and Crafts applications are now available. We also need volunteers to help with various activities of the Fiesta, such as cleanup, parking, and various booths, including food booths. Please call the front office to volunteer at 505-898-5253, and we thank you for donations of time and items that help make our Fiesta a success.

FIESTA PLANNING MEETING: We have had very little participation in the two Fiesta planning sessions so far! This is YOUR Fiesta. Please plan on supporting the Fiesta by your time, talent and treasures. Together we can have a FANTASTIC community event! The next planning meeting will be July 29th at 6 pm in the Pastoral Center. Ministry leaders, please call the front office at 505-898-5253 to find out where we need help.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL: The St. Vincent de Pau Society at Nativity is seeking new members to help us bring the love of Christ to those in need of assistance in our Parish and Community. If you think that this ministry may be for you, please call Sandra at 505-280-5596 or Marcie at 505-241-9524.

TRUCK DONATION: Nativity Parish is in need of a truck. A truck would help with moving equipment from Nativity to Mt. Carmel, picking up things for the Church, and Fiesta donations that need to be picked up. As long as it works, the age and make do not matter. We kindly ask if any Parishioner has a truck they would like to donate, please call the Parish Office. Thank you for your generosity!

VIRTUS TRAINING: Risen Savior has graciously agreed to host an In-Person Virtus training on August 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in English. As a community of faith, we believe that the prevention of child sexual abuse begins with each person. Increased awareness and a willingness to take action are steps for every person to take to eliminate abuse in our society, in the community, in the neighborhood, and in the family. All those who minister, employees and volunteers, in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe will be educated about the nature of child sexual abuse, how it is perpetrated, strategies for prevention, and reporting. Anyone who is overdue or coming up in the next year is invited to this in-person training opportunity. Please contact Annette Klimka at aklimka@asfnm.org to register.
