Lectors - Proclaiming the Word of God

Lector - Lectors serve the community by proclaiming the Word of God to the community during the Mass.  Lectors are generally responsible for proclaiming the first reading, Responsorial Psalms, second reading and General Intercessions during the Mass.  This is a very important ministry. If you are interested in serving as a Eucharistic minister, please contact the office at (505) 898-5253, Ext 0.

Becoming a Lector

If you are a person who is comfortable speaking before large crowds and has a good command of the English or Spanish language you may be the perfect candidate for becoming a lector!  We welcome new lectors throughout the year and provide training sessions several times each year.  If you are interested in this ministry, please contact the office at (505) 898- 5253, Ext 0 for the date of the next training session.

REMINDER FOR LECTORS

You should be in the sacristy 15 minutes prior to Mass to practice the readings. If you are going to be absent, please get a substitute.
